Going offfff to Bangkok with Ang, Bert and Tris tomorrow! Woooo. Can't wait. Hahah. I haven't really gotten round to packing properly, chucking anything that's vaguely wearable into my bag seems to be more of the case. Damnn, this trip seems more like a spontaneous combustion instead of something carefully planned out. We just decided to up and leave for Bangkok 3days before, booked the tickets yesterday and we've still gotta collect the room vouchers today. Gosh. Talk about fast-paced. Anyway, no work for me this week, wheee. But I've still got training today argh, gotta runn! See you guys when I get back :)

Walking non-stop for 9 hours straight whilst serving people without sitting down is no joke. Shiiit. My feet hurt like hell and my toes are actually starting to look a little purplish-blue in colour..Oh, won't someone save them. Worked till 3am last night, or should I say morning, from 6pm in the evening..even though technically we only knocked off at 330 or so. Then we still had to wait for the bus which only came at 4plus am. Argh. So that meant me getting home around 445. Sigh. After showering and all, it was more or less 5plus already and lo and behold, I was supposed to wake up at 1030 for work the next morning. O' happy day. Never have my feet felt so bruised, I'm betting it was because of those lousy quality black shoes that I got for 9bucks. Dammit. So woke up this morning after a few hours of sleep and got back to work again. Today was like shit. Made so many mistakes throughout the entire day whilst I was the beverage runner. I swear there're too many damned tables with table numbers that're derived in so many different ways here that I can't remember all of them. Haha ayee okay maybe I was just too tired. Kept getting my table numbers wrong and serving the wrong drinks to people. Which got me all the more stressed and tired. Arghh it's a vicious cycle. Anyway, the point of this post, as you can see, is to bemoan my working woes (the physical aspect, eh). Heh. Although the whole experience of working with the people there and serving customers is fun in a 'new environment' kind of way. Anyway, if any of you ever pop-by in the future, pleasee don't order too many things. Haha less work that way la.

O-kay. So I guess long enough time has passed since I've updated my blog. Some people were just complaining about it today and that actually reminded me that I still HAD one. Oh well. These days, everyone who's bumped into me or seen me has always had the same question on their lips: "When are you leaving for Shanghai?!" or something to that extent. Haha well, there's been alot of things to settle before I can even leave. Like how my mum wants me back for cny but my dad wants me to make the most of the trip and stay for at least a month plus (which would result in me not being able to be back for cny if I leave before it). But if I stay till after cny, then I most probably won't be coming back to collect my results. So yeah, there's a thought.

Remember how last month, I was all set and geared up to go back to Shanghai? Well yeah, I'm still all set and ready to go, except for the fact that my dad wants me to work for an advertising firm which belongs to his friend over there. Now, it doesn't sound all that bad, does it? Ahh but sad to say, yours truly does not want to go all the way to Shanghai, just to end up cooped up in yet another office cubbyhole bearing little contact with the locals. I had a job in their Singapore-based firm for..awhile, (it being an understatement of the extreme sense) and I quit, because I just couldn't fathom answering calls all day and having to sell package deals to disembodied voices floating over the phone. Well, see I'm more of a face-to-face person, and I never was a 'phone' person, whatever that is. I'd rather speak to someone in person, or not speak to him at all. Which explains the reason why, when you guys call me, I don't usually pick up most times, hahah. That's not to say it's on purpose everytime, I'd just rather speak to you in person. :) Okay okay I know, I'm eccentric in that sense. Haha.

Anyway, the other reason was that I didn't really like the idea of working for my father's clients either. It's just weird. Especially when they don't know how to treat you, because they're afraid that if they're too harsh on you, you'll end up complaining to your dad about them. You know, that sort of thing. Argh. So yes, to get on with it, I left the job, but my dad still wanted me to work for the SAME company in Shanghai after I quit quite unceremoniously on them. Ahh. That defeats the purpose doesn't it? To quit the Singapore-based one and then go over to the Shanghai branch to work the same job? What's the point of going to Shanghai only to be stuck in an office filled with Singaporeans answering calls the whole day. Isn't the point to immerse myself in the local culture? I mean, sitting in a Singaporean run company isn't really my idea of 'mixing with the locals at work'. I might as well work in Singapore if that's the case. Feh. Which is what I'm doing now. Or well, to be exact, what I'm about to do. I just landed a job at Indochine and the training starts on thurs. The pay's above average for a waitressing job and it's centralised so yeah. My dad'll be back from China tomorrow and we're gonna settle on what to do then. If I'm still leaving for Shanghai by next week, then there goes my new job. But if I do stay till after cny, I'll most likely be in Shanghai till March. Hopefully by then, I won't have to work in an expat firm. But at least, knowing that there're fellow Singaporeans nearby will do me good.

Anyway, Angggg! Hahah. You know I'll miss you like madd if I go, but you can always sms me there cos I'll have ROAMING. Hurhur. Finally, huh. Haha. And you'd better not forget about meeee while I'm there! I'll bring back some of my "evolved tastes" for you kay? ;) Hahah. Or you could come and visit to see for yourself. But anyway, I bet you're still hoping like mad that I won't go till after cny haha, damn bad la. Don't worry, we'll always have our weird telepathy eh, babe? ;)
