Went to Velvet last night with Tris, Shaun and Jiaqi. I never knew it would be this funky. Music was different from the usual blend of RnB and what not. Trip-hop. Heh, turned out to be real cool. Although the crowd was kind of mature, still, it was fun cos it wasn't just a mass of hands and bodies being flung around mindlessly and the whole atmosphere just seemed less of a mad rush to find space on the dancefloor than that which's usually seen at Zouk and Phuture. I don't know why but wednesdays at Phuture vaguely remind me of cows being herded into a pen. There's just that frenzied stampede along with people elbowing each other and being squished left, right, center, all for a space to dance in. Argh. Which is why Velvet seems much more refreshing in contrast. Not that it's all good though, but it's not as stifling as the others.

Ooh, how could I forget to mention, all 3 of the guys got conveniently picked up by this huge drunk, gay fella. HAHA. Oh god, it was hilarious. He just came up to Jiaqi and said "I'm Man, just be Man" Hahaha. And he then proceeded to ask each of them for a high-five. Like wth? There were these trannies that were dancing on the podium too, ohhh man, I swear I almost mistook them for girls. It was way amusing haha, I just stopped in the middle of the floor and stood there laughing for the next 5 minutes. They were good at dancing tho. You can ask Shaun for the clip he took on his phone of one of em dancing, haha. The place was teeming with expats and 'air crew' people and a few of em kept looking over with curiousity cos we were the youngest ones there. Felt a bit out of place at first cos most were in their mid or late twenties, but when everyone started dancing no one seemed to care anymore. All in all, it was fun.

Anyway, had fun with Sala and friends the night before, haha. Even though the music kind of sucked at some parts, we still had fun in the end huh? :) We've gotta go together again some other time, yeah! Haha.

Yeps anyway, I've got a sore throat now, so I guess saturday morning's a no go. Oh well, there'll always be a next one. Sop and Denice's birthdays are coming upp! Marche tomorrow, can't wait.
