Details, details, details..

Oops, it's been awhile, too caught up with school you see! Hahah. Anyway, update before the pics are up!

I'm on way to Vietnam again in about two weeks time! Sapa and Hoi An, to be exact. That means, the in the Study week right before my exams, actually. HA. Oh well, I'll probably live to regret this, but then again, at least I know I'm making the most of my life and youth!

School's been okay so far, what's pulling me through is the thought of travelling after the exams. I'm so behind on my sociology and public relations modules though. Since the start of school in January, I've only gone for 2 lectures in public relations, only cos it's at 10am in the morning on a FRIDAY and, let me reiterate, I'm a lazy ass. I'm 5 out of 9 chapters behind in my whole sociology course and I think I might have done terribly on my midterms which count for 30% of the final grade. Philosophy on the otherhand is going surprising well. I did great on the first paper (yeeeaaah!), so now I have to keep the standard up for the subsequent ones according to my tutor. AHH. Been clubbing as much as usual, although I am trying to cut down. Wednesdays have to be the first to go. Everything else should follow after that, I hope.

Well, on top of that, it's Europe for me this May! :) Damn I can't wait. Just got my new heavyduty, 70 litre backpack today. And my parents are okay with the fact that I'll be going alone and staying with the friends I have over there. So hopefully, all I have to worry about is the budgeting and the travelling in between countries and friends' homes, because it really isn't as safe as I keep thinking it to be for a lone, female traveller. Gotta do some proper planning, but right now, Germany and France are the places I'll be heading to for sure. I'm not one to do a whole race around Europe in a few weeks, so I'll be staying in both countries for as long as I can, instead of running around half of the EU like a headless chicken. Might be stopping by Switzerland again, so that would be awesome. Germany for the huge annual Hospitality beachcamp in Berlin in June where backpackers from all over Europe gather for an amazing week of partying and cultural exchanges, and France for the food, clubbing and of course, people ;) Not sure how long I'll spend moving around France, especially the South yet, before heading to Germany, so I've to plan it asap and book my ticket soon!

I'm really glad to have parents who understand my love of travelling. I always wonder how I would have turned out if they had been too damn protective. Anyway, if you're wondering where the funds are coming from, it's out of my account. But since I've got free accommodation and food, plus drinks (haha!) whilst I'm travelling around France and Germany, all I have to bother about is the air ticket and various transport costs plus museum prices I hope :)

On a sidenote, people have been asking me about that song on my blog. It's called My Lover's Gone by Dido. I really love this song - it's so melancholic. But anyways, for those who might not like it, too bad! Just mute your speakers or something - I know anything in excess gets irritating. I've said enough, picture scrolls from all over coming up! It's messy and not in chronological order though. Realllly long too. Gotta start on my second Descartes paper now. Byee.
